When you are putting, you should address the ball with your left hand ahead of the ball. If you can keep your hands in this position through the putt, it increases your chances for a smooth roll every time.

If you know some good golfers, play with them on a regular basis and observe their swings closely. You can many things by close observation.

If you are seeking power from your swing, focus on building a strong core and solid legs. Simulate the cracking of a whip while you swing your torso around and push your feet firmly against the ground.

Swinging is one of the most important skills that you need to develop in playing golf. Practice your swing more often by visiting the driving range on a regular basis.

Don’t  force your kids into sports. I never was. To this day, my dad has never asked me  to go play golf. I ask him. It’s the child’s desire to play that matters, not  the parent’s desire to have the child play. Fun. Keep it  fun.

It’s  good sportsmanship to not pick up lost golf balls while they are still  rolling.

For  a competitive junkie like me, golf is a great solution because it smacks you in  the face every time you think you have accomplished something. That to me has  taken over a lot of the energy and competitiveness for  basketball.

Give  me golf clubs, fresh air and a beautiful partner, and you can keep the clubs and  the fresh air.

Golf  is a game in which you yell fore, shoot six, and write down  five.

Once you have gained enough experience in playing golf, it is time to join various competitions. You could even suggest one, to be played by employees of the company you work for. When you compete, you become more motivated in your training.
